I ordered one. I had FVDI 2014 and 2015 before. This fvdi 2018 version has the same software versions as the 2015 version except that has updated software for VAG and BMW/Mini which is from the VVDI software. IMMO 4 and 5 key programming is working. Only tested on 2012 Scirocco 2.0 TSi and 2014 Audi A5 2.0T.

Mercedes software still has bugs for odometer correction. W204 did not work.

Overall it is good value for money. Not as good as OBDStar X300 DP pad for keys and odometer but has many better functions like programming and calibrations.

Here we go for details.

ECU Clone 

ECU clone means copy ECU, that is the OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus copies the data from the original car ECU, then write it into another same ECU hardware, so that it can achieve the same function as the original ECU.

When you want to change the new ECU or the second ECU, if you use X300 DP Plus to clone via OBD, you won’t need to go to the 4s store to do the online programming or dismantle ECU to weld, read & write.

Switch activation function

Nowadays, many car models’ accessory power supply of the dashboard or audio equipment needs to be activated to enter the boot status through the related module CAN.

However, when the car technician maintains the dashboard / audio equipment, the main unit is out of the CANBUS network so it maybe won't boot. X300 DP plus" switch activation function" can emulate the CANBUS communication to active the power supply of dashboard / Audio so that it can enter the boot status, then it will test and verify the dashboard and the Audio, also the technician can save money avoiding to purchase many the boot platform and cables of kinds of car models.

C001 circuit board is compatible with old NO. 3 and 4 circuit boards, applying to EEPROM chip dismantling and reading, Tianjin FAW and VIZHI immobilizer coil initialization and other functions.

The newly developed C002 circuit board is connected by W001, W002 or W003 without welding the chip.

Mart tool generate Range Rover new key

Xhorse VVDI PROG Programmer  work with Mart Tool to do Range Rover FK72 All Key Lost progrmming.


  • Use Xhorse VVDI Prog  to read out the D-Flash and EEE data in the KVM;
  • Use Mart tool to generate new key and data;
  • Finally write back to KVM.

Take Range Rover for example:

  1. read out the D-Flash and EEE data in the KVM

Dismantle the FK72 box from the Range Rover.


Open VVDI Pro to follow the wiring diagram to remove the components (6 in total) and then welding wire.

Plug the MC9S12 Reflash cable to VVDI PRO and start to read out the D-Flash and EEE data in the KVM.

Reading with VVDI Pro.

Land Rover... RFA encrypted (MC9S12XEQ384)

Later I will encrypt the "Chip unencrypted (FE)".

First read out D-Flash and save, then EEPROM and save.

Load KVM_EEPROM and Load KVM_Dflash.

Select "Key3" (Unused)

Put the key on the Mart tool.

Select "Detect" and read out the Key ID.

  1. Use Mart tool to generate new key and data.

Select " Generate dealer key".

Save the key info for two times.

  1. Finally write the data back to KVM.

The data is processed successfully, please write back the data to the KVM.

File, key 3...... Write successfully.

Write the key data, maybe you need to do it for one more time.

Start to encrypt the FE and complete.

Use the air gun to blow off the wires.

Weld back the chip "GND-C". PS: this chip is easily broken, please back up more than one piece for replacement.

Install the chip board into the FK72 box.

Plug the FK72 box back to the Range Rover car.

Press the key to start the car.

The car can starts.
